About the Role We are recruiting to replace existing staff, with an expected commencement date from July 2026. You will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision and direct patient care in the Emergency Department.

Classification Classification for this position will align with the Medical Specialists (Victorian Public Health Sector) (AMA Victoria/ASMOF) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2022 – 2026 including appropriate shift penalties and existing allowances, plus superannuation (HM33E-HM41E).
Your Skills and Experience
Specialist registration with AHPRA.
Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or Royal Australasian College of Physicians, having satisfied accredited training in paediatric emergency medicine under either of those colleges.
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate your role as a leader in a collaborative and respectful multidisciplinary team.
About the Emergency Department The Emergency Department is the busiest paediatric ED in the country and assesses and treats 90,000 children a year for a range of urgent medical and surgical conditions. It is the paediatric major trauma centre for Victoria and manages the full spectrum of paediatric subspecialty conditions.

Other Requirements
Current national criminal record check, or willingness to obtain.
Valid Working with Children Check.
Compliance with RCH’s “Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure.
