Project Leadership Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing large-scale retail and mixed-use construction projects. Your primary goal will be to ensure timely delivery and maximise value for stakeholders through effective project management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide regular progress updates on project status and costs through detailed reports
* Lead the tender process using innovative procurement strategies and negotiate with consultants and tenants
* Achieve stakeholder sign-off on designs and various stages of development
* Oversee the appointment and negotiation with consultants and contractors
* Play a vital role in commercial and contract management, ensuring positive outcomes and meeting design, technical, and quality specifications
* Perform value engineering to maximise development returns while minimising disruption to operational centres
* Ensure strong risk management and safety performance throughout the project lifecycle
* Assist with the preparation of redevelopment proposals, from project briefs to final handover
Requirements
* 5+ years experience in commercial development, particularly in retail and mixed-use construction
* Strong leadership experience in fast-paced project environments
* Advanced contract negotiation and administration skills
* Expertise in managing large-scale, sophisticated construction projects
* Solid understanding of retail and mixed-use tenancy design guidelines
* Proficient in managing budgets and schedules
* Ability to provide innovative solutions and value-for-money outcomes
Applicants must have qualifications in Project Management, Construction, or a related field, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage contractors, consultants, and internal teams effectively.
