The Emergency Response and Security Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all site emergency response, first aid, and security services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring site-wide emergency preparedness, compliance, and response capability across mining, processing, and support departments. You will oversee Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and MESO personnel, ensuring training, systems, and procedures are aligned with legislative and operational requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Lead and coordinate site emergency response, first aid, and security services
* Manage and develop Emergency Response and MESO teams, including training and competency systems
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policies, and emergency response procedures
* Oversee maintenance and readiness of emergency equipment, including fire systems and ambulances
* Support incident investigations, reporting, and hazard identification initiatives
* Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs across sites
* Maintain accurate training, compliance, and emergency response records
* Provide expert advice to leaders on emergency response obligations and best practice
* Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and engagement
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Minimum Certificate IV Health Care (Ambulance) or equivalent
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response (or similar)
* Current HR Driver's Licence (WA)
* Previous experience (3–5+ years) in emergency response within mining or heavy industry
* Strong experience in pre-hospital care and emergency response coordination
* Knowledge of fire control and emergency systems
* Excellent communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations
* Intermediate computer skills and exposure to safety systems (e.g. Evotix, Chemalert)
* Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting & Emergency Operations)
* Accredited Drug & Alcohol Tester (highly regarded)
