About the roles
The ICYMHS Early Psychosis (EPS) clinicians work with young people 12 to 25 who are experiencing emerging psychotic symptoms, or a first episode of psychosis. The EPS clinician is skilled in the provision of specialised assessment and compassionate care in partnership with and lead by the young person at the centre of care. The EPS clinician works closely with the young persons identified family, supporters and networks, engaging these vital supports to facilitate the young persons identified goals. The role also involves the provision of community education and secondary consultations with ICYMHS partner agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing, occupational therapy or psychology and current registration with AHPRA, or tertiary qualifications in Social Work enabling membership of AASW.
* Experience in the provision of mental health assessment and working therapeutically with young people.
* Understanding and knowledge of Early Psychosis models of care and early intervention.
* Experience in working collaboratively with healthcare, welfare and education agencies to support people in addressing mental health concerns.
