Achieve Something Great
The Respiratory Scientist will be responsible for performing a range of respiratory function assessments appropriate for the diagnosis and management of patients with known or suspected respiratory disease. They will also play an active role in the Respiratory Investigation Unit’s quality assurance programs and work collaboratively with other staff, to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery. Education on the physiological basis, measurement and interpretation of respiratory function tests will be provided through on-the-job training and mentorship.
FTE and Working Hours: Casual - Initially 32 hours per fortnight, with a view to increasing, as the service expands.
Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science from an approved university, with a major in Physiology or an equivalent qualification recognised by the employer. Certification as a Respiratory Function Scientist (CRFS), or relevant experience within a public or private healthcare facility, would be highly desirable. The candidate would demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, and be computer literate. They would also possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

2. Certified Respiratory Function Scientist (CRFS) certification or relevant experience at a public or private health facility is highly desirable.

4. Demonstrated computer literacy skills
5. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
