The Company This organisation is a growing, Australian-owned manufacturing company with 60 years in manufacturing and tailor-made solutions for construction, wholesale and retail. With 4 sites across the country, they are poised alongside their sister company to embark on their next period of growth. The Role I am seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to report directly to the Financial Controller and support the wider finance team with such tasks as preparing financial statements, accounts, budgets and assisting with the finalisation of month-end and year-end accounts. Broader duties include: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including journal processing, fixed asset coordination, balance sheet review, and submission of monthly results Support audit processes, respond to auditor queries, and complete required filings with ASIC, Companies Office, and statistical agencies Processing SAP transactions and preparation of VAT return Ensure on-time filing of all tax returns; income tax, payroll tax, GST, FBT etc Liaise with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance The Person At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing company CPA qualified or working towards Strong Hands-on experience using ERPs like Oracle and SAP Advanced Excel skills About Us Veritas Recruitment recruits across multiple verticals, with industry-specific recruiters servicing a range of clients.
