Employing more than 400 staff, CMAX is a 78‐bed clinical trials unit, with a database of more than 65,000 clinical trial participants, and utilising state‐of‐the‐art facilities, we are primely positioned, opposite the Royal Adelaide Hospital and part of the Adelaide BioMed City precinct.

About the role:

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical and Nursing Team either permanent fulltime or permanent part‐time (no less than 3 days per week). Reporting to the Chief Research Physician and Chief Clinical and Medical Services Officer, you will be part of a team who are trail‐blazing the Nurse Practitioner role within the Clinical Research industry.

Responsibilities:

* Undertaking Informed Consent as part of the Informed Consent process, conducting physical examinations and medical history assessments as part of the participant screening process;
* Providing participant education and support, and ensuring the Informed Consent process is completed for clinical trial participation;
* Reviewing and authorising clinical pathology reports, vital sign and ECG measurements;
* Providing medical care and monitoring the well‐being of patients/volunteers;
* Documenting, monitoring and reporting adverse events;
* Liaising with clinical and non‐clinical staff to conduct tasks required to fulfil Human Research Ethics Committee approved study/trial protocols;
* Building strong working relationships with study nurses, patients, trial participants, external medical personnel and the Principal Investigator.

About you:

* Proven reputation for the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour;
* Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner);
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General and Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA;
* Context of Nurse Practitioner registration shall be within a general adult acute care setting and primary health care environment (excluding practitioners with narrow fields of sub‐specialities including paediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, neonatology and midwifery);
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA;
* Be ALS1 certified, or willing to undergo this training;
