Responsibilities for these roles encompass a diverse array of tasks, including:
- Mixing, preparing, weighing, and measuring ingredients for the creation of delectable goods.
- Skillfully decorating pastries with various icings and toppings to ensure visually stunning presentations.
- Glazing buns and pastries, as well as adorning cakes with cream and icing.
- Artisanal crafting of sourdoughs, gourmet pies, pastries, cakes, and tarts.
- Vigilantly monitoring baking ingredient stocks and making appropriate orders within budgetary constraints.
- Ensuring the quality of materials and the condition of cooking equipment and devices.
- Adhering to strict food hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintaining a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.
- Properly store all food and related items.
- Keeping meticulous records and operating a variety of kitchen equipment.
- Upholding a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Planning and executing production schedules effectively.
- Willingness to relocate if currently residing interstate or in other cities.
- Availability to work weekends and accommodate split shifts.
- Possession of a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a related field.
- Certification as a Qualified Baker/Pastry Cook with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
