Job Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and self-sufficient IT Support Field Engineer to join our team in Newcastle.
This is a field-based role where you will provide onsite support directly at client locations, managing hardware diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, installations, and general IT troubleshooting.
About the Position
* Main Responsibilities:
* Onsite diagnosis, repair, installation, and upgrades of IT hardware
* POS and general IT support (PCs, servers, routers, switches)
* Tracking and managing stock from our warehouse locations
* Updating job status, part usage, and closure notes after each site visit
* Afterhours support and overnight jobs as required
* Travel throughout Newcastle and nearby regions to meet client SLAs
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in field-based IT support or hardware repairs
* Strong skills in diagnosing and replacing IT hardware
* Familiarity with retail IT systems, POS devices, and network hardware
* Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and communicate effectively
* Willing to work flexible hours, including afterhours and occasional overnight shifts
