About the role
This opportunity has arisen following an internal promotion, demonstrating Uniting WA's commitment to developing and advancing its leadership talent.
The General Manager Services is accountable for the quality, performance and operational delivery of Uniting WA's services portfolio. This pivotal leadership role drives strategic direction for existing services, ensures service quality and compliance, translates strategy into operational plans and is instrumental in driving continuous improvement and advancing Uniting's mission to instigate positive change within the community.
Other key role deliverables include:
* Lead the integration of new and expanded services into the portfolio and oversee operational readiness
* Support the development of high-quality funding and commissioning proposals to position the organisation for tender success.
* Demonstrate service impact through measurement and reporting, implementing outcome tools and ensuring data quality.
* Develop and maintain high-level relationships with government agencies, partners and community organisations.
* Provide visible leadership and coaching to the Assistant GM and Senior Managers.
About you
Your outstanding ability to communicate and solve problems, along with your expertise, will be vital to successfully overseeing a wide range of stakeholders. You will already have a track record of leadership in community services or a related sector.
Importantly, you should possess personal drive and ambition, along with strategic thinking abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in program management, quality assurance and passion for social impact measurement, coupled with strong leadership acumen, is essential.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Quality and Health Services Management, with specialist knowledge and experience relevant to the position.
Assistant General Manager Services (Additional Role)
We are also seeking an Assistant General Manager to support this division. This role focuses on mentoring and coaching Senior Managers to deliver a comprehensive range of social services, including disability, mental health, homelessness and services for families and children. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in service delivery and strategic thinking and be well-positioned to step into the General Manager role in the future.
