About the Role
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join Care Pathways Australia as a Speech Pathologist based in Melbourne’s South East Suburbs as a contractor. Care Pathways Australia has built a strong reputation as a trusted paediatric allied health service supporting children and families under the NDIS. We are now entering an exciting phase of growth, expanding our supports and looking for a contractor who is wanting hourly work to complement their other commitments, or someone who is seeking a pathway from contractor to permanent employee in the future.
Location: Working from home and visiting clients in the South East (either at their homes, schools, ELC's or in the community)
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality, evidence-based SP services in Melbourne’s South East
· Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.
· Hold a Paediatric caseload aged 0 - 12 years and work closely with key personale (families, schools, educators so on)
· Reliable, flexible and comfortable managing your caseload once initially established by us
What we're looking for
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology
· Experience working as a Speech Pathologist, preferably in a community-based, NDIS or a rehabilitation setting
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families
· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to develop tailored interventions
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
· Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
· Current registration with SPA
· Must have Australian work authorisation at the time of application
· NDIS workers screener check (or ability to obtain)
· Working with children's check (or ability to obtain)
· Drivers License
