The firm’s Projects & Infrastructure team is widely recognised for its expertise across complex infrastructure, technology, government, and defence projects. The team is trusted by governments and private sector clients alike to advise on market-shaping initiatives, innovative structures, and national resilience projects across Australia, Asia, and the Pacific Islands.
The Sydney team is now seeking a Senior Associate to join this high-performing practice and contribute to its continued growth in infrastructure, government, and defence.
The Opportunity
You’ll work closely with leading partners on complex, high-value transactions spanning infrastructure, energy, technology, government and defence. The work is broad and impactful, with opportunities to advise on:
- Major infrastructure and development projects across transport, energy, health, education, housing, utilities, and technology
- Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, including structuring, financing, and delivery
- Investment attraction and national resilience projects, including defence and critical infrastructure initiatives
- Social impact and innovative financing structures, including housing, healthcare, and education
- Strategic advice on complex multi-party and cross-border transactions
This is a highly client-facing role where you will collaborate across practice groups and jurisdictions, contribute to business development, and help shape the future growth of this market-leading team.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- 5+ years’ experience advising on infrastructure, projects, energy, or defence matters
- Strong knowledge of front-end project documentation, PPPs, and complex deal structures
- Experience in cross-border or multi-party projects will be highly regarded
- A commercial and solutions-driven approach, with confidence managing complex matters and engaging directly with clients
- A team-oriented mindset, with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to a positive team culture
- An enthusiasm for working at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, technology, and defence
