Job Title
As a mechanical fitter, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on rolling stock.
* You will work on a rotating shift basis at the depot.
* Test, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components using schematics.
* Inspect bodywork, roofs, and undercarriages for wear or damage.
* Perform warranty work, repairs, or replacements of components and parts.
Requirements:
* Australian Trade Diploma in Electrotechnology or Mechanical Fitting; Certification III required. Electrical License or dual electrical/mechanical trade highly desirable.
* Experience in Rail, Rolling Stock, Light Rail, Bus, Automotive, Earth Moving, or Heavy Diesel Fitting.
* Strong PLC fault finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and rectification skills.
* Ability to read technical drawings and maintain detailed records.
