Many who visit are navigating homelessness, financial hardship, substance use, mental health challenges or deep social disconnection. Every interaction contributes to someone feeling valued and empowered.# **About the role**As a Support Worker, you will be part of the daily life of the Hub. You will welcome participants, offer practical support and help them engage with services that can make a real difference. Working alongside Case Managers, you will provide brief interventions, one on one support and simple activities that build routine, wellbeing and social connection.You will also help keep the Hub running smoothly by assisting with light meals, maintaining a clean and respectful environment and contributing to a space where people feel safe and supported.A key part of this role is relationship building, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members who may have experienced trauma or institutionalisation. Your ability to listen, show respect and create culturally safe interactions will shape how people experience the Hub.This full-time role reports to the Team Leader, with pay in line with SCHADS Level 3.# **How you will make an impact*** Supporting Case Managers to walk alongside participants facing complex life challenges* Helping create a Hub environment that feels safe, calm and welcoming* Offering brief interventions and one on one support when people need it most* Facilitating simple activities that promote wellbeing, routine and social connection* Supporting participants to access services, identification, income pathways and essential supports* Working with TSA programs, external providers and community partners to ensure coordinated care* Following TSA WHS practices including conflict resolution and anti-discrimination* Contributing to a positive and supportive team culture* Participating in staff meetings and training* Contributes to the overall impact of the site, including the Waterhole, by helping maintain a safe, clean, welcoming and culturally respectful environment during peak periods.# **What you will bring*** Experience in a support or community-based role* Initiative, self-motivation and a genuine desire to help others* Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language* Knowledge of local Aboriginal communities and culture* Strong communication and relationship building skills* The ability to work respectfully with people from all backgrounds* Reliability, integrity and alignment with TSA values* Cert IV in Community Services (desirable)# **What we offer*** SCHADS Level 3 – Above Award conditions (up to 10%)* Remote Area Housing Benefit (up to $31,800 tax free) and Entertainment Benefit (up to $2,650 tax free)* Generous paid parental leave (12 weeks for primary carers)* Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave to experience other TSA programs* Flexible working arrangements* Access to EAP and wellbeing initiatives* Ongoing training and development* A meaningful career where your work creates real impact in the community# **How to apply**If you are passionate about supporting people and helping create a culturally safe, community focused space, we would love to hear from you.
