Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Specialist to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Key Responsibilities Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all indirect tax returns (GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax). Organize and maintain supporting documentation for all tax filings. Lead and manage indirect tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries. Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes in tax laws. Oversee tax effect accounting and support global quarterly tax reporting. Manage multiple indirect tax entities/groups efficiently. Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax positions and reduce liabilities. Collaborate with local and international finance/legal teams to align tax planning with business goals. Identify and mitigate tax-related risks by strengthening internal controls. Continuously improve indirect tax procedures for enhanced compliance and efficiency. About You CA or CPA qualified. Minimum 5 years of indirect tax experience across multiple jurisdictions (ideally Australia and New Zealand). Background in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm is highly regarded. Exposure to the FMCG or manufacturing sector preferred. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
