**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced **Maintenance Supervisor/ Officer** to join our team at **Aveo Fernbank** on a **Full-Time **basis. Reporting to the Community Manager, this will be a hands-on role undertaking the safe provision of regular corrective and preventative maintenance on site. This includes assisting with general building upkeep and routine maintenance. You will also be responsible for managing a small team on a day-to-day basis to ensure all maintenance needs are attended to in a timely manner and coordinating, inducting and managing external contractors.
You'll enjoy interactions with the residents and be proactive in finding ways to support the village manager, while providing excellent customer support and care. As you will be working with team members, clients and external visitors and contractors, you will follow all company OH&S procedures, be well organized and have a professional manner. On Call responses may be required from time-to-time.
**Duties**:
- Liaise directly with Community Manager to ensure projects undertaken are safely and in a timely manner
- Plan and oversee all repair, maintenance and installation activities
- Attend various maintenance requests
- Coordinate external contractors when needed
- Induct & oversee maintenance work undertaken by contractors within the community
- Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
**Ideally, you'll have**:
- Experience in General Maintenance
- Experience leading a small team
- Current Police Check
- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple stakeholders and requests
- Relevant trade qualifications (highly regarded, not essential)
