About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Western NSW Local Health District Quality Systems Team on a full-time basis. The role will suit a person with experience in clinical quality and patient safety, with a passion to improve the health and wellbeing of rural people.
Lead and coordinate the Peer Led Internal Verification program and support external accreditation processes to ensure the LHD meets National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards. Support, assist and educate managers, clinicians and others as required to maximise collaboration and participation of key staff to achieve evidence-based practice and the National Standards across the LHD.
Lead and support the implementation of State-Wide Programs to improve patient outcomes and continual quality improvement. Manage identified reporting to the Ministry of Health and / or Clinical Excellence Commission relative to QCSN, such as the Quality & Safety Account, and key performance indicators to ensure the LHD complies with expectations and responsibilities.
Support quality initiatives based on sound data collection and in-depth analysis to facilitate decision making to improve patient outcomes. Manage project development, implementation and evaluation relative to Directorate initiatives and State-Wide programs to ensure achievement of project deliverables.
Lead and support quality activities across the Directorate using improvement science principles to achieve improved patient outcomes. Lead key stakeholder engagement with effective communication strategies including networking, negotiating, influencing, and consultation to facilitative the implementation and evaluation of state-wide programs and quality initiatives.
