Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to support the successful delivery of capital investment and continuous improvement projects across our warehousing network.
This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and overseeing detailed project plans to ensure safe, timely and efficient project execution.
* Scope, plan and manage warehouse infrastructure and automation projects in line with capital investment and improvement strategies.
* Coordinate project teams across site operations, HR, corporate and external contractors to ensure effective delivery.
* Work closely with customers and third-party logistics providers to align project outcomes with service expectations.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans tracking milestones budgets and deliverables.
* Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support safe and reliable outcomes.
* Ensure project documentation is up-to-date and compliant with internal and industry standards.
* Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders identifying barriers and proposing solutions.
* Drive a continuous improvement approach throughout the project lifecycle identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in Project Management or equivalent roles.
* Proven experience in logistics and warehousing including warehouse design construction or automation projects.
* Solid understanding of supply chain logistics and operational workflows.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proactive problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Financial awareness including budgeting cost estimation and assessing project viability.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Qualifications in Project Management PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
* Experience working in dynamic high-paced environments.
