This role is your chance to take full ownership of payroll from start to finish. You'll manage the processing of payroll through our cloud-based HRIS (currently FoundU), making sure everyone is paid accurately, on time, and without a hitch. But it's not just about numbers—you'll also contribute to process improvements, help implement People & Culture initiatives, and ensure our payroll practices are always confidential, correct, compliant, and of the highest standard.
We're looking for someone who loves detail, enjoys solving payroll puzzles, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. Flexibility, adaptability, and a sense of humour are essential—you'll be working with a small but mighty team that values collaboration, curiosity, and the occasional joke. If you enjoy the thrill of balancing spreadsheets, improving processes, and supporting a great workplace culture, this is the role for you.
A day on the job will see you:
* Manage end-to-end payroll (PAYG, super, salary packaging) accurately and on time.
* Assist leaders with payroll queries, giving clear, accurate guidance on payroll matters.
* Maintain and update employee records and HRIS databases.
* Reconcile leave, super, and other payments (e.g., redundancies, workers' comp) confidentially.
* Support payroll reporting, process improvements, and training for leaders.
Your application will go to the top of our shortlist if you have:
* Sound experience in end-to-end payroll service with a solid understanding of modern payroll practices
* Proven experience and competence in the use of HRIS/payroll systems (exposure to FoundU or Myob Exo is a plus but not essential)
* A proactive, self-motivated approach in managing competing deadlines
* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring everything adds up perfectly
* Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, comfortable with formulas, reporting and data management
What's in it for you?
* Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $15,900 in tax benefits
* Leave: 23 days annual leave, that's 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks (pro rata based on 22.8 hours per week)
* Perks: Trendy workwear, lots of social activities, expand your experience by joining a consultation committee, interact with the people we exist to support
* Hours: 22.8 hours per week, 3 days per week with some flexibility around days
* Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities
* Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it
