Job Description
Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Position Summary:
* Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and their families.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
* Can start this week!
* A minimum of high school or equivalent.
* Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion (highly regarded).
* Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
* Willing to work with clients across varying ages (both NDIS & Child Safety).
* With open availability: dayshift, afternoon, evening & sleepover.
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
* Basic care and first aid skills.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
