Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Solar Farm
Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to play a pivotal role in the construction and maintenance of cutting-edge renewable energy facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise sub-contractors (piling and mechanical) and site trades, fostering collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
* Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
* Assist with site logistics, including resource allocation and equipment management.
* Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with the mechanical superintendent, engineers, QA/QC teams, and stakeholders to achieve seamless project execution.
* Liaise with local authorities, suppliers, and community stakeholders, promoting positive relationships.
* Provide detailed progress reports to the mechanical superintendent, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
* Supervise mechanical installations and maintenance activities on-site from initial site preparation to final commissioning.
* Monitor the progress of mechanical and piling work and ensure compliance with project schedules.
* Provide guidance and support to mechanical trades personnel to meet performance targets.
* Conduct inspections and quality control checks on all mechanical installations and systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a mechanical supervisor in the construction or industrial sector.
* Preferred: Proven mechanical trade background (e.g., fitter, machinist, or similar).
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installations.
* Strong understanding of piling within solar farm constructions.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of mechanical tradespeople.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe working environment.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work on-site in a remote environment.
* Able to work on a 3/1 D.I.D.O. roster.
* Must have full Australian work rights.
* Previous experience on large-scale construction or renewable energy projects, particularly solar.
* Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
* Current First Aid and Safety certifications.
