Job Overview
This role entails close collaboration with integrated teams and civil contractor counterparts in a collaborative environment, ensuring that project technical and contract quality requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Quality oversight of construction activities undertaken by the civils and underground contractors.
* Perform inspections as detailed in inspection and test plans, witness 'W' and hold 'H' points.
* Carry out routine quality surveillances of civils activities, including reporting and tracking all action items to closure.
* Monitor progressive compilation of construction records and review associated documentation.
* Oversight of non-conformance reports, ensuring timely disposition agreement.
* Support team expectations around incident and injury-free work practices with active participation in the safety quality leadership team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience dealing with civils and underground activities on major oil and gas construction projects.
* Demonstrated thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques, with emphasis on soil mechanics, earthworks, concrete foundations, retaining walls, pavements, and drainage.
* Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil and gas-related construction projects.
* Formal safety training.
* Strong stakeholder engagement experience.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously.
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Creative, pragmatic, open-minded thinking, and a can-do attitude.
