Job Opportunity: Mental Health Clinician

Our team delivers compassionate, ongoing care to adults and their families within the community. We provide support for consumers transitioning from hospital into the community through medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, organizing of psychiatry reviews, and liaison with support services.


About the Role

* Join our supportive Continuing Care Team as a Mental Health Clinician and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
* This full-time role offers flexibility with a 5-day roster and the choice to be based in Forster or Taree – whichever location suits you best.

You will receive support through orientation, ongoing in-service, and encouragement to complete in-house and external training where relevant.


About You

* We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic mental health professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality care.
* You'll be confident managing competing priorities within an acute mental health service and value working as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

You'll bring strong clinical knowledge and experience in mental health, along with a commitment to contemporary, person-centred care. A solid understanding of trauma-informed practice, shared care models, and family/carer-inclusive approaches is essential.


Requirements

* Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program), which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and willingness to travel in the course of employment.

Key Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, experience in mental health, trauma-informed practice, shared care models, family/carer-inclusive approaches, leadership skills, communication skills, teamwork skills.
