Job Opportunity
The Head of Primary will be a key member of the School Leadership Team, responsible for the day-to-day running of the Primary Campus.
They will work closely with the Principal to implement a curriculum that integrates faith, culture and life, promoting the religious, intellectual, social, cultural and physical development of students.
The ideal candidate will possess high-level initiative, innovation and collaboration skills.
They must have excellent educational leadership skills, including mentoring and inspiring teachers to implement future-focused practices and pedagogies.
A strong interpersonal skillset is essential, with the ability to build positive relationships and strengthen a collaborative learning culture with all stakeholders.
The successful applicant will also possess administrative experience, ICT integration expertise and outstanding classroom teaching skills (minimum 7 years).
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Principal in the four domains of leadership in a Catholic School: Catholic Identity, Education, Community and Stewardship
* Possess a high level of initiative, innovation and the ability to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic leadership team
* Be a person who can display an understanding of, and has a commitment to, Catholic education
* Demonstrate educational leadership with the ability to mentor and inspire teachers to implement future-focused practices and pedagogies that enhance learning
* Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and strengthen a collaborative learning culture with all stakeholders
* Be highly organised and demonstrate a successful record of administrative experience
* Have a proven ability to lead staff in enhancement of instructional practices, curriculum development and professional learning with a focus on school priorities and goals
Qualifications
* Relevant four-year tertiary qualification
* Minimum of seven years teaching experience
* Current TRBWA registration and current Working with Children Card
* Accreditation for Leadership - either completion of or showing progress towards completion of this Accreditation (required prior to end of first term)
