About the Role
This role involves providing phone-based general advice and information to doctors, helping them acquire life insurance. This includes assisting them through the quoting, application, and underwriting stages, working directly with business development managers of leading insurance organizations.
* Developing an active prospect pipeline, building awareness, and nurturing leads across short and long-term horizons to support members through cover.
* Differentiating fact-based comparison products within a niche market.
* Capturing the attention of time-poor professional members on issues other than clinical practice.
Key Accountabilities
The role requires managing inbound and follow-up calls in a highly professional manner, delivering expert product knowledge when providing general advice. Triage the needs of customers and identify when a handover to a risk specialist is required for personal advice.
* Personally manage and own the insurance quote and application process for members, including administration of life insurance policies and compliance requirements across systems used by the organization.
* Deliver individual sales targets and build the organization's profiles in the market, providing input in a team environment aimed at encouraging superior skills and results.
Requirements
To be successful, you will have:
* Life insurance or financial services experience (desirable).
* FSR Tier 1 accreditation (life insurance and superannuation RG146).
You will need:
* Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Technical business development skills.
* Ability to think strategically and analytically.
* Understanding of the medical industry or life insurance sector market ideal.
* Product knowledge and strong business acumen.
* Experience in direct sales.
* Capable of building business networks that foster growth.
* Highly effective organizational and time management skills.
