About The Role
Reporting to the Education Manager Visual Arts, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality graphic design training across a range of programs and learning environments.
You will support students throughout their learning journey, using inclusive and contemporary teaching approaches while contributing to curriculum development and maintaining compliance with VET standards.
This role suits a creative industry professional who is passionate about education and developing the next generation of designers.
What You'll Do
* Plan, deliver and assess graphic design training aligned to accredited programs
* Create engaging, inclusive and safe learning environments for diverse learners
* Support student engagement, progress and wellbeing, including learning plans where required
* Develop and maintain high-quality teaching and assessment resources
* Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities
* Engage with industry to maintain vocational currency and relevance
* Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in program delivery
Essential
What You'll Bring
* Relevant qualifications and current industry experience in graphic design
* Strong understanding of contemporary design practices and tools
* Demonstrated commitment to learner‐centred teaching practices
* Sound understanding of VET quality, compliance and regulatory requirements
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Strong digital and ICT capability to support teaching and learning
Desirable
* Experience teaching or assessing in a VET environment
* Experience working with diverse learner cohorts
* Knowledge of current trends in graphic design and vocational education
Qualifications
Qualifications & Mandatory Checks
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the qualification requirements under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement and relevant regulatory standards.
This Includes
* Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in the discipline area, and
* One of the following:
o Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116), or
o A Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education or Vocational Education and Training
Applicants who hold secondary teaching qualifications with relevant VET skill sets are also encouraged to apply.

Appointment to this position is subject to the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.

* A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
