BRG is supporting a requirement within the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), specifically within the Chief Information Office Division (CIOD).
This opportunity is suited to experienced ICT Business Analysts who can operate in complex delivery environments, supporting a range of digital and emerging technology projects, including AI-driven initiatives.

* APS6 equivalent Business Analyst role
* Based in Canberra (on-site)
* Baseline clearance required at commencement

Role Overview
You will play a key role in analysing business needs, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and translating requirements into clear, actionable deliverables to support ICT project outcomes.
Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical specialists, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex digital solutions across the Division.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Analysis & Requirements
* Analyse current and future business processes and information management environments
* Gather and document business and technical requirements
* Translate business needs into clear techno-functional requirements
Stakeholder Engagement
* Facilitate workshops to define business scenarios and requirements
* Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and validate solutions
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment
Artefact Development
* Develop high-quality documentation including:
o Business requirements specifications
o Functional and non-functional requirements
o Process maps and data models
o User stories and acceptance criteria
o Business cases and reports
Solution Analysis & Delivery Support
* Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations
* Conduct technical research and analysis
* Support Agile delivery, including backlog refinement and sprint activities
What You'll Need
Essential Experience
* Strong experience facilitating workshops and developing:
o Business scenarios
o Process maps
o Data models
o Use cases
* Experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria
* Proven experience working on complex ICT projects in Agile environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting ICT service delivery and implementation
* Experience documenting requirements for Office technologies
* Experience using Azure DevOps for backlog and user story management
* Exposure to Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform
Additional Requirements
* Must hold a current Baseline security clearance at commencement
* Ability to work on-site in Canberra
* Strong written response required (1‐page pitch addressing criteria)
