Key Role Overview
The Senior Finance Officer role entails leading business operations, financial management and budgeting across the Crop and Food Science unit.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective business planning processes to create business and asset management plans.
* Provide high-level financial guidance and support to leaders to enhance performance and accountability.
* Liaise with project leaders and the leadership team to ensure compliance with contractual commitments of externally funded research projects.
* Identify financial, administrative, and asset management challenges; conduct thorough analysis to implement solutions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Financial Management, Business).
* High level proficiency in financial management, data interpretation/analysis and reporting.
* Ability to prepare timely, accurate and concise financial reports using relevant databases and spreadsheet applications.
