Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation, from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes to large commercial and industrial projects.You’ll be based at our Townsville site with opportunities to manage projects across other branches within the region. Your responsibilities will include completing scheduled maintenance, responding to call outs, after-hours/weekend work, and shutdown hours. The shift will be day shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm). Overtime is available, and this position is eligible for our bonus scheme as well as 14% Superannuation.What Will You Do?In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will be the primary point of contact for equipment and maintenance issues.You will be:Ensuring stoppages, performance issues, or breakdowns are rectified safely and promptly.Maintaining formal maintenance, change management, downtime, and quality records according to company requirements and procedures.Working consistently towards completing the electrical preventative maintenance schedule for the site.Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues with plant and machinery.Collaborating with our fitters to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives wherever practicable.More About YouAs a dedicated Maintenance Technician, you’ll enjoy taking ownership of your work and contributing to the team.
