Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer. As the head of our organisation, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, managing the organisation in line with its charter.
The successful candidate will lead staff, represent the interests of Traditional Owners, manage cultural heritage responsibilities, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and agreements.
You will work closely with the Board to deliver strong governance, maintain high-level relationships with government and other agencies, and build an organisational culture of integrity, teamwork, and respect.
A key responsibility is to strengthen our operational capability and financial sustainability while ensuring all activities align with best practice business planning and risk management.
* Lead staff and manage day-to-day operations at the executive level
* Provide high-level, strategic advice to a Board of Directors, supporting sound governance and decision-making
* Implement strategic plans and Board directions, translating organisational goals into effective operational outcomes
* Represent the organisation with cultural integrity and credibility

Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day operations at the executive level
* Proven capacity to provide high-level, strategic advice to a Board of Directors

* Sound knowledge of corporate governance and general management practice within Aboriginal organisations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
