Ngura Ninti ('Knowing Home') is a research project aimed at creating a four-volume collection of key documents that tell the story of Australian history from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

The project involves collaboration with Indigenous communities, archival research, and prioritizes Indigenous well-being. Four regional teams are working on the project: West, Central, South East, and North East.

This position is part of the South East regional team, focusing on the history of Lutruwita (Tasmania) from the Palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

 * Demonstrate a higher education research qualification or equivalent qualifications.
 ">
 * Show experience working successfully with Palawa Community members in formal settings.
 ">
 * Demonstrate high-level organizational skills, including autonomy, prioritization, meeting deadlines, and minimal supervision.

 * Show experience in researching historical archives, museums, libraries, and galleries.
