Dentist with Special Interest in TMJ / TMD & Medical Dentistry
We are seeking an AHPRA-registered dentist with a strong interest in TMJ/TMD and the medical side of dentistry to join our practice.
This position is not a conventional general dentistry role. It is ideally suited to a clinician who enjoys diagnosis-driven care, managing complex presentations, and taking a medical-model approach to dental treatment.
The Role
This role focuses on providing comprehensive, considered care for patients with TMJ/TMD and complex dental and medical histories, with an emphasis on diagnosis and outcomes rather than volume.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assessment and management of TMJ/TMD and orofacial pain
* Occlusal analysis and splint therapy
* Comprehensive treatment planning for patients with jaw dysfunction, bruxism, headaches, and complex dental/medical histories
* Longer, considered consultations focused on diagnosis and patient outcomes
* Opportunity to develop and refine skills in functional, occlusal, and musculoskeletal dentistry
About You
You will be:
* AHPRA-registered
* Able to demonstrate a strong interest or further education in TMJ/TMD, occlusion, or orofacial pain
* Comfortable managing complex cases and thinking beyond routine dentistry
