About the Role
In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centered support to clients with complex care, complex behaviors, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), mental health conditions to name a few. You'll work closely with individuals in their own homes to enhance their independence, quality of life, and community participation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication support
* Assisting with bowel care, stoma care, PEG feeding & urinary catheter support
* Providing transportation for appointments, shopping, and social activities
* Implementing positive behavior support strategies to manage complex behaviors
* Supporting clients in achieving their NDIS goals, promoting inclusion and empowerment
We are seeking experienced professionals who:
* Have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in disability support, specifically working with complex care and challenging behaviors
* Hold a Certificate IV in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred)
* Have a background in mental health, intellectual disabilities, and high-support needs
* Are trained in restrictive practices, positive behavior support (PBS), and trauma-informed care
* Possess excellent communication and de‐escalation skills
* Hold a current Australian driver's license and have access to your own reliable vehicle
