About The Role
We're seeking a talented and proactive Facilities Contract Lead to ensure the effective delivery of council's building maintenance and cleaning services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee key contracts and statutory maintenance obligations, ensuring our facilities remain safe, compliant and well managed.
You will be responsible for managing significant contracts, strengthening service provider accountability, and applying a strong understanding of legislative requirements, procurement processes and facilities budgeting. Collaboration will be central to your success, as you work closely with internal teams and external contractors to maintain high quality and cost effective service outcomes.
This role also provides leadership and guidance to the Administrative Team, supporting continuous improvement and helping to refine processes across the broader Facilities Management function.

About You
You're an organised, detail oriented professional with experience managing large scale contracts and a strong understanding of facilities operations, compliance and procurement. You confidently hold service providers accountable, ensure performance standards are met, and maintain a clear focus on safety, quality and value for money.
You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and are comfortable leading others through change and process improvement. With a proactive mindset and a commitment to excellence, you take pride in supporting well run, reliable and compliant facilities that serve the needs of our organisation and community.
What Your Experience Might Look Like
* Extensive knowledge and understanding in successfully managing contracts in a dynamic, complex infrastructure related organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and apply relevant BCA and Australian Standards, legislation, mandates and policies.
* Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes, with coaching skills to develop capability and manage conflict or under performance.
* High level interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills, including discretion and judgement when working within a complex administrative and political environment.
