About the role
Join the Category Team at Independent Liquor Retailers'. You will play a crucial role in helping drive category growth. This full-time position is based in Fyshwick, ACT, and offers an exciting opportunity to develop your account and relationship management skills to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
* Develop promotional programs aligned with category-led strategies.
* Plan and deliver promotional campaigns, including Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas campaigns.
* Work closely with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, develop joint business plans, and lead monthly, quarterly and annual reviews.
* Proof catalogues, point-of-sale materials and digital marketing content.
* Complete competitor checks for all advertised lines.
* Prepare media plans, member updates and allocation memos.
* Coordinate product launches and new product development allocations.
* Plan and execute the quarterly EDLP program.
* Conduct core range reviews.
* Prepare clear, timely communications for members.
* Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
What we're looking for

* Experience in category management or account management within retail or FMCG is preferred, but not essential.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
* A completed or near-completed degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
