Position Overview
This role offers a balance of in office forensic inspections and residential design work. It is ideal for a recent engineering graduate looking to develop both technical and practical skills in a supportive environment.
Location: Wayville, Adelaide, South Australia
Employment Type: Casual (3-6 months), transitioning to Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic inspections and investigations of residential properties (approx. 30%)
- Prepare detailed, written reports based on site observations and engineering assessments
- Assist with structural and civil design of residential projects (approx. 70%)
- Liaise with clients, builders, and insurers, providing clear technical advice
- Perform structural calculations using ClearCalcs
- Report to Management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting
- Familiarity with ClearCalcs or similar engineering software
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Residential design experience (internship or professional) is highly desirable
- Australian Citizenship or current permanent residency
