Trainee HR Specialist Position

This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with a passion for human resources and a desire to grow their career in this field. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge while working in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing exceptional client service by responding to telephone and front counter enquiries, as well as managing emails.
* Conducting routine administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and information management, to support the People & Culture department.
* Purchasing and distributing stationery, ensuring that stock levels are always maintained.
* Supporting the wider team with project work and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
* Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Receiving on-the-job training and attending scheduled workshops to further develop expertise.

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams and understand the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations.
2. Dedication to completing a Certificate IV in Human Resources, which is essential for success in this role.
3. A willingness to learn new concepts, maintain a strong work ethic, and be punctual and reliable.
4. The ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
5. Compliance with Work Health and Safety principles and practices, as well as adherence to Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
