Utilstra is a leading Utility Engineering Company building Infrastructure in the Water, Sewer, Stormwater, Telco, Power and Gas. It has been working in utility infrastructure including in ACT, NSW, VIC & QLD for Australian Govt Agencies.
We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our head office in Canberra. This role includes liaising with a wide variety of professionals and stakeholders including Client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and various regulatory authorities.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and administer the contracts for efficient delivery of projects.
- Facilitate and delivery team meetings managing work in progress requirements to ensure knowledge transfer across the company.
- Preparing and issuing notices and variations in accordance with the Contract.
- Preparing SOW to issue the POs and completing relevant document for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Tracking of claims, change management administration and assisting with the resolution of commercial issues.
- Validate contract milestones, reports, and ensure that payment schedules are met.
- Managing compliance of multiple contracts including notices, extensions and variations.
- Monitoring Contract Management documentation and ensure they are in order for auditing purpose.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Contributing commercial advice to internal and external key stakeholders.
- Contractual administration and resolution with Supplier and subcontractor performance.
- Supporting the procurement of long-term service agreements with suppliers and subcontractors, including assessments and subsequent claims.
- Close and accountable interaction with client representatives to build strong relationships.
- Reporting and briefings (both written and oral) to senior management.
- Monitoring and maintaining the KPIs set out for projects and company.
- Ensure compliance with the Utilstra QMS, WHS & EMS Integrated Management System (IMS).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Qualification in Civil Engineering /Project Management / similar discipline, which must be accredited in Australia.
- 3+ years project experience within a construction / infrastructure /civil engineering with a focus on commercial and contractual administration/ management.
- Understanding of Australian Standards and its mechanism to deliver the project (eg.AS4000 or AS2124).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, flexible and versatile.
- Demonstrated understanding and administering the Project.
- Demonstrated understanding the general standard of WHSEQ in Australia.
- Demonstrated communication and written skills.
- An eye for detail and ability to identify cost-saving interventions.
