Overview
As a Process Operator (Boiler Operator) at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you'll be responsible for operating the super-heated boilers, turbine generators, ash handling systems and bagasse system.
This position is based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its landscapes, agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a lifestyle with a warm climate, beaches and recreational activities.
Your Role in Action
- Smooth Operator : Operate and monitor boiler station to ensure sufficient levels of steam are driving the alternators which generate power for factory operations and external demands.
- Explicit & Concise : Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance.
- Ready, Set, Competent : Willing and able to achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.
- Collaboration Crew : Assist with the professional development of boiler assistants.
- Safety Guardian : Show a strong commitment to safety.
Your Winning Combination
Our ideal candidate must have a High Risk Work Licence for Turbine Operator (TO) and Advanced Boiler Operator (BA). Applicants with High-Risk Work Licences (e.g. Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces) are desirable, and we are prepared to provide training to those who show the right aptitude and fit.
