Our mission is simple: to create brighter futures for job seekers, businesses, and communities. Right now, we're looking for a passionate Trainer and Assessor to join our dedicated Training team and help shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople in:
* Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
* Carpentry and Construction
The Role
You will be responsible for training and assessing our Cabinet Making and Timber Technology and Carpentry students in our Cairns location while:
* Enrolling and inducting students into appropriate training programs
* Conducting training and monitoring visits to ensure students are progressing and meeting the minimum requirements of their training plan in accordance with legislative requirements
* Providing support and flexibility to students to ensure good learning outcomes
* Building strong networks with external stakeholders and existing clients
* Building and managing a sustainable caseload of students

About You
You're a qualified Trainer and Assessor with hands-on experience in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology or Carpentry and Construction. You're ready to inspire, motivate, and equip students with the skills they need to thrive in their careers.
Candidates must hold valid work rights in Australia to be eligible for this position.
You will also have:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as a solid foundation for delivering quality outcomes.
* Relevant vocational qualifications that showcase your expertise in your chosen industry.
* 3–5 years of hands‑on vocational experience, giving you the practical knowledge to connect training with real‑world application.
* Valid Working with Children Check
* Strong computer literacy, with confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
