Role description:
Our Design & Engineering team is expanding to support significant growth in the following sectors; health, education, research, data centres and transport-oriented developments.
We are looking for proactive, client-focused team members, with a track record in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in these sectors. Your role will be to support our continued growth through the development of strong client relationships and project delivery capability.
Role accountabilities:
* Delivery of full structural design on significant building projects, proactively managing selected projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, and ensuring the integrity of the overall design (in collaboration with other design disciplines
* Manage packages of work in re-development and upgrade of existing buildings, new builds and complex structures
* Seeking new opportunities through project work by building on and creating new working relationships
* Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options
* Collaborating with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned structural engineering professional with more than 10 years of experience, strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with:
* Extensive experience within the buildings sector with a particular interest in experience within the Health, Education or Data Centre space.
* Commitment to improving quality of life through sustainable and innovative design.
* Substantial experience using ETABs, RAPT and SPACEGASS (or similar) Design Software, additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful as would familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
* Demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen, managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects
* Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
* Proven experience in delivery of medium to large scale projects to clients through all project phases
* Engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation; post-graduate qualifications an advantage.
