Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our Community Mental Health team. Reporting directly to the Team Leader/Manager/Nurse Unit Manager, the Administration Officer has professional accountability to the Mental Health Divisional Manager and Senior Administration Officer for Community Mental Health. The successful candidate will bring qualities including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, excellent customer service skills and the ability to learn new tasks and processes. What you will bring to the role
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proven capacity to engage respectfully and professionally with individuals who may present with challenging behaviours, maintaining a calm and supportive approach.
* Extensive experience in frontline customer service, with highly developed verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
* Sound understanding of privacy principles and demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Windows operating systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Demonstrated experience working effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, generational, and mental health backgrounds, including those from non-English speaking communities.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic and high-demand environment, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
* Demonstrated professional judgement and accountability when undertaking new, complex, or critical tasks, including the ability to seek guidance and escalate appropriately
