What makes working here different

Focus Group operates without traditional account managers. Everyone has direct client contact, from taking briefs to presenting work. Our model is built on T-shaped capability: broad generalist skills across delivery, with deep mastery in a specialism. This role suits someone who is both creatively strong and highly organised, comfortable owning projects end-to-end, including managing clients, timelines and delivery alongside developing ideas.

This role sits within Creative specialism. You will work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality work for clients, combining strong generalist delivery skills with deep expertise in your specialist area.

You are responsible for leading projects end-to-end, including client management, scoping, timelines and delivery. There is no separate project or account layer. You own the work and how it gets done.

Creative specialism

Builds and delivers creative concepts across channels. This includes idea development, messaging, content production, presentation of work, supplier management, and ensuring work land cleanly and consistently. Works closely with campaign, design and strategy to bring strong, coherent creative solutions to life.

Produces high-quality design and visual communication. This includes brand implementation, graphic design, layout, content production, and digital or presentation design. Works across both fast-turnaround work and deeper creative delivery.

Senior

Takes ownership of complex, ambiguous and high-stakes work. Leads projects and client relationships, shapes thinking and direction, and sets the quality bar for their discipline or workstream. Coaches others, navigates uncertainty calmly, and balances delivery with broader responsibility for standards, consistency and outcomes across the team. Partners with leadership on planning, resource decisions and business improvement initiatives. Sets the direction for Focus Group. Shapes IP, ways of working and culture, leads the most important client relationships, and makes decisions that drive long-term growth and quality.

Core responsibilities

General responsibilities

* Lead client relationships day-to-day, including taking and shaping briefs
* Own project delivery from start to finish, including scope, timelines and output quality
* Manage quoting, proposals and commercial decisions on your work
* Run projects across disciplines, coordinating strategy, creative, design and campaign
* Manage suppliers and freelancers to deliver work efficiently
* Present work clearly and confidently, guiding client decisions
* Identify and resolve delivery issues early
* Active use of AI and automation tools to enhance speed and quality of work.
* Strong self-management: planning work, communicating availability and meeting deadlines.

Specialism responsibilities

* A fully integrated role creating concepts and design assets across multi-channel campaigns.
* Lead the development and creation of all design requirements in line with our clients brands and strategy.
* Support the design team, providing them with on-the-job training and feedback.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of projects, responding to briefs with a fresh and innovative approach.
* Sell ideas, preparing presentations that articulate a compelling creative/design rationale.
* Client facing and presentation of creative/design work.
* Define, run and participate in creative sessions.
* Stay immersed in design industry trends, developments and tools.

Specialism requirements

* A relevant degree in design, visual communication, creative or related field preferred.
* At least 5 years of relevant senior experience in an agency environment.
* Experience in high level, 360° creative campaigns.
* Excellent proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc), proficiency in Figma and Canva beneficial.
* Experience in designing across all formats (eg: print, digital, social and multimedia).
* A strong sense of visual design and in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques.
* The ability to take ideas and develop concepts, and take them through to implementation and execution.
