About the Role
As a specialist in regulatory enforcement, you will contribute to investigations into suspected misconduct, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve outcomes. Your work will impact the integrity of the Australian financial system, protecting investors and consumers.
You will engage in various tasks including preparing and conducting enforcement action, compiling briefs, and participating in court proceedings. Additionally, you will employ evidence gathering techniques, utilize ASIC's evidence management technology, and consider the interpretation and application of relevant laws.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to preparing and conducting enforcement actions
* Compile criminal, civil, and administrative briefs
* Participate in State or Federal Court proceedings
* Engage in investigation planning and discussions about scope and strategy
* Project manage matters and/or provide investigative support
In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through ongoing training and mentoring programs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess legal qualifications and a current practicing certificate. You should also be comfortable working with large and complex information using evidence management software, investigative strategies, tools, and technologies. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as well as a passion for utilizing your legal skills to make a positive difference in the Australian financial system.
