Our client is currently seeking a Power BI Developer to play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across their organisation.
In this role you will be involved in Project Portfolio Management Tool solution development, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure integration with the PPM Tool. You will be focussed on delivering automated reporting solutions to uplift business capability for sustainable management of reporting platforms.
The role also upholds governance, security, and data quality standards to support organisational objectives with a strong focus on backend integration, data modelling, and technical architecture.
As the Power BI Developer, you will:
* Develop and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents
* Automate business processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate focusing on integration with existing data systems and platforms.
* Enhance existing solutions to improve usability, performance, and functionality.
* Design and implement complex back-end logic, leveraging API integrations, data connections, and cloud services.
* Lead discussions and prioritise efforts for enhancements and design changes to optimise the functionality of the PPM Tool.
* Ensure seamless integration of Power Platform solutions with the PPM Tool and other systems using APIs, data connectors, and middleware.
* Manage deployment processes from development to test and production environments.
* Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards for data tracking, monitoring, and analysis.
* Enhance existing reports to improve usability, performance, and actionable insights.
* Implement automated reporting solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
* Design and develop complex data models, leveraging DAX, Power Query, Dataverse and advanced ETL processes to ensure optimal data flow and reporting performance.
* Maintain data integrity and connectivity across systems, including integration with databases such as SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, or other cloud platforms.
* Monitor and optimise the performance of data connections, ensuring scalability.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
* Strong understanding of data modelling, DAX, Dataverse and Power Query.
* Experience integrating Power BI with other systems and tools (e.g., PPM Tool).
* Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimise report performance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience in capability uplift and training for business users.
* Degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field.
* Microsoft Power BI certification (preferred).
* Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and related services.
* Understanding of project portfolio management tools and processes.
