Citi is looking for Analyst to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in Sydney.
The ECM team works in partnership with the Advisory and coverage teams to advise public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors to originate, structure, execute, and syndicate equity financings such as initial public offerings, follow-on capital raisings, block trades, convertibles, and other equity-linked financings.
The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by facilitating equity capital formation.
About you:
* 1-4 years' relevant work experience within ECM, corporate advisory, markets, or a related area
* You have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; in any discipline with a top academic record from a leading university and have
* You have strong corporate finance, analytical, business communications skills (both written and verbal), with exceptional multi-tasking and time management ability
* You have exceptional teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders in other lines of business
* You are self-directed, highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with attention to detail and personal integrity
* You are commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential / sensitive information
* You have a strong interest and understanding of equity capital markets and transaction processes
* You have a keen interest in markets and investing, knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape
* You are proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Job responsibilities:
* You will help originate, structure, and execute equity capital market transactions
* You will conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research and trading analysis
* You will develop and prepare presentation materials and other content for clients to deliver advice and address their strategy and equity capital market needs
* You will liaise with multiple internal and external parties to manage and execute several projects simultaneously and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
* You will play a critical role in helping the team deliver equity and equity-linked solutions to clients leveraging full spectrum of the bank's capabilities
