We are currently seeking a **Sustainability Advisor** to support our Property Sustainability Services team, on a full-time basis, based in either Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney or Adelaide.
Reporting to the Sustainability Director, the primary purpose of this role is to develop Ventia's Sustainability Services offering and delivering strategic and operational sustainability results to a range of Ventia clients.
**You will deliver a range of strategies and identify tactics to deliver contract outcomes that support the achievement of clients sustainability targets, including but not limited to**:
- Lead and develop Action Plans for Ventia clients, ensuring a clear pathway is mapped to meet targets (i.e. Net Zero Emissions).
- Develop Energy, Waste and Water Minimisation Strategies and tailor these strategies for each client.
- Co-ordinate and deliver elements of Environmental Sustainability Management Programs including preparation of environmental reports and management of environmental initiatives.
- Manage information and report to the client as required in relation to: specific projects; achievements against targets; and new initiatives.
- Identify and implement environmental improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery against agreed milestones (including project timeline and budget).
- Keep up to date with changing legislation, sustainability frameworks and industry trends to support the delivery to clients.
- Liaise with appropriate bodies (Industry Associations, Government Co-ordinating Agencies, electricity, and water supply organizations etc).
- Own and maintain client relationships and be the key liaison person for sustainability advisory services (client dependent)
- Support all client and internal audits (as required).
- Strengthen stakeholder and client relationships.
- Seeks out repeat work through exceptional business relationships.
- Perform to client expectations, maintaining an environment that is outcomes focused and encourages open communication.
- Provide commercial input, delivery expertise and constructability.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Relevant training and qualifications in Environmental/Sustainability Studies, Science, Engineering and/or related discipline.
- Experience in sustainability initiative identification and sustainability project management.
- A sound understanding of industry Corporate Social Responsibility Frameworks and Sustainability related legislations.
- An understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Active experience preferred.
- Skilled using Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment.
- Proficiency and experience with the use of PowerBI favoured.
