About the role :
In the Tax division at Forvis Mazars, we work with our clients to provide tax solutions that will help them achieve their objectives. By joining Forvis Mazars, you will be a part of one agile, integrated and collaborative team across sectors, services and geographies. You will have the opportunity to advise on a broad spectrum of taxes and work across a variety of clients, from private to large global corporations. This role lends itself to you initially building broad skills and tax knowledge as you develop expertise in a specialisation of your choice, as follows :
* Providing high level tax advice in all areas of taxation (International, Commonwealth and State)
* Planning and structuring, transactions and investments
* Researching, analysing and interpreting tax legislation with an emphasis of practical, written advice to assist business decision makers
* Liaison and negotiate with the ATO and Revenue Authorities
* Some taxation compliance responsibilities including return and BAS preparation
* Report to the Tax Partners in a small team environment
* Developing a direct advisory responsibility to clients, other Mazars Partners and the Mazars international network
About you :
* Ideally, around 4 - 7 or more years experience in Tax Advisory within an Australian accounting firm
* Preference for a Master of Laws or Tax
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Willingness to learn in specialist areas such as Transfer Pricing, GST and state taxes
