ETO Group
We are an awarded Australian online FX & CFD trading platform. Since 2013, ETO Group has been fully regulated by ASIC. We are currently looking for Risk Analysts to join our Technology team as our business expands rapidly.
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Intern / Junior Risk Analyst to join our Dealing & Risk team and grow with us from the ground up. In this role, you will be involved across the full risk lifecycle, including daily system configuration, data analysis, identifying and managing different types of risks, and helping to build and optimise our automated alert and monitoring tools. You will work closely with teams across the business to strengthen risk controls and support decision-making. This is not a repetitive back-office role – you will receive structured training and gain exposure to several core areas of risk (systems, data, monitoring and hedging) through practical, rotational experience.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with external partners to follow up on pricing, execution and risk-related issues and support smooth daily operations.
* Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to help investigate and resolve issues.
* Configure and maintain risk-related settings in internal systems, ensuring parameters are accurate, consistent and aligned with risk policies.
* Use tools such as Python, R, Power BI and SQL to clean and analyse data, build reports and visualisations, evaluate risk and support decision-making.
* Assist in developing, testing and optimising automated alert and monitoring systems, helping to monitor client trading and identify abnormal or potentially abusive behaviour.
* Monitor client trading activity and key risk indicators on a daily basis, and escalate suspicious activity or material exposures to senior members of the Dealing & Risk team.
* Support hedging and exposure management activities under guidance, including preparing exposure summaries and checking the effectiveness of hedging strategies.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or a related discipline.
* Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong speaking, reading and writing skills in both languages.
* Proficiency with at least one data processing / analytics tool (e.g. Python, R, etc.).
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
* Solid SQL skills, with the ability to query, validate and analyse data from multiple data sources.
* Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or a related discipline.
* Experience in CFDs or other financial services industries is highly preferred.
* Responsible, detail-oriented and able to manage time effectively.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
