An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join our busy team in the Emergency Department at Perth Royal Infirmary.
If you have experience working in an emergency care setting and evidence of training and proficiency in core skills, then we would like to hear from you! However, candidates with experience in an acute health setting who can demonstrate an aptitude for learning and acquiring new skills will also be considered.
The role is varied and will include the use of core emergency skills such as vital signs monitoring, ECG recording, escorting patients, fracture care and wound management. Above all you will need to be a team player who is able to function and deliver care in a sometimes pressured but always stimulating clinical environment. An absolute necessity is the desire to be involved in delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
You should possess excellent written and verbal skills as well as demonstrate good people skills.
Training will be given with an expectation that core competencies will be completed within agreed time scales.
You should be interested in developing further within this role.
The primary base is within the Emergency Department at Perth Royal Infirmary, but you may be required to rotate to the Emergency Department at Ninewells Hospital depending on the needs of the service.

Hours of work are: Full Time posts (148 hrs per month) on 11.5 hours shift system with full day/night rotation.
